About Us

Advanced Dermatology is a practice focused on the full catalog of dermatology.  From skin cancer diagnoses and Mohs surgeries, to anti-aging treatments and hair loss, Advanced Dermatology is recognized as one of Missouri’s leading treatment centers for laser dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, surgical dermatology, medical dermatology, and treatment of hair and nail conditions.

 

Under the leadership of award-winning, board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Melody Stone, Advanced Dermatology is committed to providing outstanding dermatological treatments and aesthetic care with state-of-the-art techniques and the latest skin rejuvenation technology to help you get the best possible results.

Dr Melody Stone

Dr. Stone obtained her medical degree from the University of Missouri Internal Medicine and completed her internship at Brown University. She completed her dermatological residency at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Stone completed her Preceptorship in Mohs Surgery in Kansas City. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Mohs Surgery and the Kansas and Missouri Dermatological Societies. She has also performed dermatology research at Yale University, publishing many journal articles and chapters for dermatology textbooks. Her greatest satisfaction is derived from knowing that along with her staff, she has helped her patients by providing the highest standard of care with a warm smile and a compassionate touch.

AUSTIN SHANDLEY, PA

Austin Shandley is the newest Physician Assistant join the Advanced Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center team. He is a native of St. Joseph and is excited to serve his home community. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia before pursing his graduate degree at Missouri State University. 

 

He has most recently practiced in an Ear, Nose and Throat specialty clinic in Sedalia, Mo for the past 3 years. Austin is very passionate about medicine and helping others. We are excited that he has joined our team and look forward to him making a difference in our community.
